For over six decades, our city has been a steadfast Democratic stronghold. While this legacy has shaped our community, it's essential to recognize that times change, and so do the needs of our residents. Today, we face challenges that require fresh perspectives and solutions.
The Republican Party offers a platform centered on fiscal responsibility, public safety, and economic growth. By focusing on these areas, we can work towards a city where businesses thrive, crime rates decline, and every resident has the opportunity to succeed.
It's not about abandoning our past but embracing a future where all voices are heard and all concerns are addressed. By considering Republican candidates, we open the door to new ideas and approaches that can lead to positive change. For decades, Republicans were scarce in City politics because residents had a history of voting generally as Democrats. But the party of JFK has changed. In today's politics, JFK's positions would be more aligned with middle-of-the-road Conservative Republicans. Where focus is on blue collar jobs because not everyone can, nor wants to go to college, but deserves more than the basic living wage. And also the creation of jobs for those who do attend one of our many Colleges/Universities, so that they aren't forced to leave following graduation. That is what these Republican candidates represent and will work hard to see for the future of Erie.
